Weekend Reading – 7/2

Watermelon with yellow flesh

I can’t believe the weekend is here again already and that it’s a new month!  Do you have fun plans to celebrate the 4th?  So far we don’t, but I’m pretty sure it will at least involve some watermelon and ice cream.  :)   And by the way, if you’ve never had yellow watermelon, they are our favorite by far!  Check out your local farmer’s market for them.

Some fun things happening this month in our family:

-Blane began his new job! (yesterday!)

-Blane’s active duty commitment with the Army ends on July 4!

-We celebrate out 6th wedding anniversary!

- Brant turns one!

-We get to meet someone very special to one of our family members! (sorry to be vague, want to respect privacy, just in case!!)

-Long-awaited BBQ with some friends!

Admittedly, I got a little explanation point happy.  :)   We have a busy month, to be sure, but it is full of celebration and fun.  What do you have planned this month?

I’m keeping your weekend reading light this week.  :)   Enjoy and “see” you around next week.

Spiritual Growth

Sweet Condemnation – If you struggle with guilt or a lack of guilt, read this!  It is so good!

Purposeful and Intentional Parenting – This is not a recent article, but I just read it this week.  It served as a good reminder to me of what some very important priorities for us as mothers!

Health & Nutrition

FDA takes steps to limit use of antibiotics in livestock – This is encouraging, but my skeptic self wonders what will end up happening with it.

Don’t forget to check out Naturally Knocked Up’s upcoming E-Course!  Join me as I go through it!
